OP Rewards: Round 1

At Rainbow, we’ve put in a lot of work making Layer 2 as first class citizens in our wallet experience. We passionately believe that L2 networks are the future of crypto adoption. In Rainbow, L2s are painless to use, and all of your L2 assets live alongside your Mainnet ones.

To support and encourage the use of Optimism with our userbase—that’s you!—Rainbow has been granted 420,069 OP tokens by Optimism governance to give away to Rainbow users as a reward for using Optimism.

The rewards will be distributed in rounds, and the first round runs from midnight UTC on Monday, February 13 2023 to 11:59 PM UTC Sunday, March 5 2023.

For the first round, we’ll be

awarding 28,000 Optimism tokens per week for three weeks…
with the rewards airdropped directly into your wallet at the end of each week

Special prizes go to our top Optimists—those who have earned the most OP rewards over the entire round.

How do I earn OP Rewards with Rainbow?

1. Bridging tokens to Optimism in Rainbow

All bridges to Optimism from Ethereum Mainnet, Polygon, and Arbitrum of eligible tokens will earn a reward of 0.125% back in OP.

🫠 Bad at math? That means bridging $5000 USDC earns you $6.25 worth of $OP tokens!

2. Swapping tokens on Optimism

All swaps on Optimism in Rainbow of eligible tokens will earn a reward of 0.425% back in OP.

3. Leaderboard rewards

In addition to rewards for all swappers and bridgers, rewards will also be distributed at the end of the round to the top 100 people who have earned the most rewards over the entire program.

The more you bridge and swap, the more rewards you earn — and the higher your place on the leaderboard!

How can I see my total rewards? When do I get my rewards?

You can see your eligible rewards at any time by checking the rewards card in your Rainbow app on the Discover screen.

Rewards will be airdropped weekly within two days of the period ending, and the leaderboard prizes will paid out at the end of the three week phase.

You don’t have to do anything special for your rewards to show up—just wait for them to appear in your wallet!

What can I do on Optimism?

Optimism is great because you can do anything you’d do on Mainnet but for a fraction of the cost.
