On occasion, you may open the app and see that your NFTs have disappeared — and are now MIA. Rest assured you still own your NFTs! Below, we’ll chat about some troubleshooting steps that you can take to have those NFTs viewable again 👇
First Step: Delisted Collection(s)
The first step is to determine if a collection has been delisted from a marketplace, such as OpenSea. Delisted collections will render as missing in the app. In order to have those collections viewable again, you’d need to directly connect with the marketplace involved (ex: OpenSea) and have the collection relisted.
Second Step: VPN
The next step is to confirm if you’re using a VPN. If you are using a VPN, you’ll want to de-toggle that and force quit Rainbow before re-opening the app.
Third Step: App Refresh
No VPN? Time for an app refresh!
For iOS:
Step 1: Go to Settings (within Rainbow)
Step 2: Tap Developer Settings
Step 3: Tap Clear Local Storage
Step 4: Force quit and re-open Rainbow
For Android:
Step 1: On your home screen, press your finger down on the Rainbow app until a pop-up appears
Step 2: Tap "ⓘ" for app info.
Step 3: "Force Stop" the Rainbow app.
Step 4: Click “OK”
Step 5: Open the "Storage" tab
Step 6: Select "Clear Cache" to delete all cached information
