Twitter now allows Twitter Blue users to connect your wallet to verify ownership of collectibles and set an NFT as your profile picture. This guide will show you how to seamlessly connect Rainbow to Twitter.
Step 1: Navigate to your Twitter profile, tap “Edit Profile”, and then tap on your profile picture to select “Choose NFT”
Step 2: Then, tap “Connect my wallet”
Step 3: Select “Rainbow” from the list of wallets
Step 4: Tap “Open app”
Step 5: The Rainbow app will open and a prompt will appear. Press the “Connect” button
Step 6: You’ll be redirected back to the Twitter app to initiate a signing request to prove you are the owner of the wallet. Tap “Confirm” to initiate the signing request
Step 7: After being redirected back to the Rainbow app once more, you’ll press the “Confirm” button and authenticate using your device’s biometric or passcode.
Step 8: Back in the Twitter app, you’ll now be presented with a menu to browse all the NFTs you own. You can even filter by collection
Step 9: Choose the NFT you want to use as your profile picture by tapping on it
Step 10: Confirm the picture crop. NFT profile pictures use a special hexagon crop to differentiate them from circular non-NFT profile pictures
Step 11: Anyone can view your NFT’s information and proof of ownership by tapping on your picture in your profile
- It’s important to note that Twitter only supports mainnet Ethereum NFTs.
- Some file formats might also have a difficult time being displayed such as SVG NFTs.
