Meta has started to roll out the ability to allow people to display their NFTs on Instagram! You’ll now have the ability to:
- Connect your Rainbow wallet: Once connected, you’ll have the ability to choose which NFTs from your wallet you’d like to share on Instagram.
- Share NFTs: Once you post an NFT, it’ll receive a special visual treatment and can display public information, such as a description of the NFT itself. These posts will then be visible on your profile!
- Automatically tag both the creator and collector: Both the creator and collector can be automatically attributed in the post (subject to privacy settings).
Below, we have a guide on step-by-step instructions for connecting your 🌈 Rainbow Wallet!
Instructions for Connecting:
Step 1: You’ll start by clicking the 3 lines in the upper right hand corner next to your profile
Step 2: You’ll then click Digital Collectibles
Step 3: You’ll then be brought to a screen where you’ll review Instagram’s Digital Collectibles summary. Click Get Started → Continue to proceed forward with connecting your wallet
Step 4: You’ll then be brought to the wallet connection screen where you’ll select 🌈 Rainbow → Continue and agree
Step 5: Once you click Continue and agree, 🌈 Rainbow will open with a pop-up asking you to connect
- You’ll then be redirected back to Instagram where you’ll verify the wallet by clicking Open Rainbow
- You’ll then, again, be redirected back to 🌈 Rainbow one last time where you sign the incoming message request by clicking confirm
Step 6: Your wallet is officially connected! It’ll be displayed under your Digital collectibles screen
Step 7 (optional): If you have multiple wallets, you can also add a wallet on this same screen and repeat the steps above!
Instructions for Disconnecting:
Step 1: If at any point you’re looking to remove your wallet, you can begin by clicking on your wallet details
Step 2: You’ll then click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner
Step 3: You’ll then click the Disconnect wallet pop-up
Step 4: An additional prompt will display informing you about what disconnecting your wallet means. When you’re ready, you can click the additional Disconnect wallet prompt. Your wallet has then be successfully removed from Instagram!
