If you’re interested in importing an additional wallet after already downloading Rainbow, this article is for you — you can fully import an additional wallet at any time by following the instructions below.
Important to note that by fully importing a wallet, it means you imported using either your Secret Phrase or Private Key. If you just use an Ethereum address or ENS name, your wallet will be imported as “watch only”. Check out our knowledge base article here:
Using Watch Mode
With Rainbow's Watch Mode, you can easily follow anyone's wallet activity or see what's inside their wallet. If you have a hardware wallet, you can even use Rainbow to visualize your NFTs and keep track of its balances. All you have to do is import the wallet's public address or an ENS domain.
Step 1: You’ll click the drop down arrow on the main screen
Step 2: Add another wallet
Step 3: Tap: Restore with a recovery phrase or private key
Step 4: Enter the secret phrase (or private key) of your existing Ethereum wallet
Note that when you’re using your secret phrase, you’ll want to enter those words exactly in their specific order with one space in between each word. No additional characters are needed.
